Congratulations to the bride & groom, Dallas & Rob!
Dallas & her mom came in really prepared for her wedding bouquets and couldn't have made my job any easier. They really are a great family and were a pleasure to work with!
Dallas had her mind set on gerbera daisies as the focal flower for this fun summertime wedding.
The bridesmaids wore pale yellow dresses, so she decided to go with orange and pale yellow mini gerberas for all the bouquets and most of the boutonnieres which I thought was a fabulous choice.
The 6 bridesmaids carried pale yellow and orange mini gerbera bouquets hand tied with lily grass and yellow satin ribbon.
Everyone at the flower shop loved these bouquets and it was a nice change of pace for us.
The bride also carried the mini gerberas with crystal blush mini calla lilies, roses, and looped lily grass. Her bouquet was wrapped with white ribbon and finished off with her decorative pin she brought into us earlier in the week. It really looks beautiful with the pearl pins too!
The moms and grandmom carried mini sized bouquets with mini callas and roses, instead of the traditional corsage. The groom and dads wore a mini calla lily, and all the other groomsmen, etc., wore mini gerbera boutonnieres.
I personally delivered these bouquets on a hot summer day, thankfully to an air-conditioned church, The United Presbyterian Church of Manoa on Eagle rd. in Havertown PA, our hometown!
Of course I had a chance to shoot a photo of a few bridesmaids holding their bouquets!

As of July 2010, you can now have our top quality fresh flower designs delivered even farther than before!
I talk to a lot of my customers on the phone everyday who always ask me, "Is it going to be your flowers or do you call another florist to fill it?"
I am happy to say in most cases it is our unique fresh Belvedere flower designs that arrive to the recipient, since we are able to cover a very large flower delivery area including most parts of Philadelphia, Delaware, Bucks, Chester, & Montgomery Counties of Pennsylvania.
Here is a list of some of the new areas we now deliver fresh flowers, plants, fruit & gourmet baskets, balloons, or any other gift for any occasion with same day delivery available.
This was a bizarre week, with a vicious storm that came out of nowhere and wiped out power in most of Delaware County PA on Thursday, June 24, 2010. The day before the wedding!
However, we were able to get power back later on Thursday, and was able to put the finishing touches on these beautiful bridal bouquets for an awesome family! Maria, mother of bride, has been a loyal "faithful" customer of Belvedere Flowers for over a decade now. Similar to last week's wedding, it's nice to be able to do their prom flowers way back then, and now be able to create their wedding flowers in June 2010.
Christina, the bride, was well prepared for our in store consultation, and really had her mind set on a focal flower of hot pink miniature gerbera daisies with black centers (seen below). These would be used in the 7 bridesmaids bouquets, and for groomsmen boutonnieres and throughout the altar pieces delivered to St. Dorothy's Church in Drexel Hill PA. The bride would carry an all ivory and white bouquet to include mixed roses, crystal blush white mini callas, and white lisianthus. Her bouquet was wrapped with fabric taken from her mother and grandmother's wedding gowns, from back when they got married.
I want to apologize for my photos, at times, they don't come out quite the way I would like them to. What can I say, I am an amateur photographer. I love getting photos back from great photographers like Jackie from Love Shack Photo, it really makes a big difference. unfortunately I don't always get pictures back from photographer therefore, I do my best to take my own.
Anyway , as always, I like to share my amateur pics and vids with all of you, so here you go, enjoy!
Ok, here is the wedding flower video featuring one of my all time favorite bands, Pearl Jam, with a song called "Faithful".
What a great bride to work with! Lindsay and her family have been purchasing flowers from Belvedere for over a decade, including proms, birthdays, anniversary, etc. I was really excited when she chose us to create her wedding flowers!
Here are some pictures of the bridal flowers featuring lavender roses, veronica, stock, green hydrangea, freesia, lavender, & "candy strike" & purple dendrobium orchids in the bridesmaids bouquets. The bride carried a mix of "escimo" white and "vendella" ivory roses, with "crystal blush" miniature calla lilies, white lisianthus, and hints of candy strike and purple dendrobium orchid blooms.
Church Flowers were also delivered to the United Methodist Church on Brookline Blvd. in Havertown PA in the early afternoon.
That night we delivered and set up 22 table centerpieces and a guest card table display at the Hilton Philadelphia City Ave. The table centerpieces featured dendrobium orchids in 2 different style table centerpieces. 11 tables had candy strike orchids coming out of cylinder vase surrounded by 3 floating candle vases with submerged orchids. The other 11 tables had a candle terrarium vase with purple orchids submerged inside the vases with purple ice nuggets and scattered orchid petals on the tables with votive candles. The large guest card table flower display was set on top of a large trumpet glass vase with orchids submerged inside, and much more flowing out. Also included purple larkspur, lavender roses, lime green mini hydrangeas, and curly willow branches. Here are some pictures below-
We just finished delivering and setting up wedding flowers to 3 different locations in Havertown, Wallingford, and Rose Valley (Media) PA. All of this done on a beautiful Sunday morning!
First was the bridal bouquets delivered to the house in Havertown PA. The bridesmaids are wearing dark burgundy dresses and carried all ivory "escimo" roses with hints of dark burgundy hypericum berry, and finished off with seeded eucalyptus and italian ruscis foliages. The bride carried a beautiful hand tied bouquet featuring "black baccara" red roses, and also included dahlia, peony, orchid, "leonidas" orange-brown roses, eggplant colored mini calla lily, and much more. I love the way this bouquet turned out!
Next, we delivered and set up bema flowers and bows and ribbons for the pews at the Congregation Ohev Shalom synagogue in Wallingford PA. The spectacular bema pieces are overflowering with "kansas" peonies, "james story" orchids, snapdragons, "black baccara" roses, dark burgundy (almost black) dahlias, "leonidas" brown roses, pink calcynthia, "excellent flair" hypericum berry, and much more! Here are some photos below-
After setting up at the synagogue, we continued onto the Old Mill in Rose Valley PA which is close to Media PA, where we deliver everyday flowers all the time. For table centerpieces we used 3 different size cylinder vases with 1 "black baccara" rose submerged in each vase with a frog pin holding the rose down, which is covered by natural river rocks. We then drop in a disc candle floating on top, along with votive candles and ivory rose petals sprinkled on the 16 tables at the reception. We also created a beautiful guest table vase with the same flowers used in Sarah, the bride's bouquet! Here are some pictures below of the reception flowers by Belvedere Flowers.
Ok, surprise surprise, more video footage from today's wedding below!

It was a busy week at Belvedere Flowers, as we had 2 weddings at Appleford in Villanova PA. One on Friday, and one on Saturday May 29, 2010.
We also had the pleasure of working with Sage Catering in Berwyn PA on both days! Darby and her crew did a great job & I hope to do more work with them in the future.
What a small world, what are the chances of both brides booking Appleford Estate, Sage Catering, & Belvedere Flowers all in the same weekend?!
Ok, well you know I have lots of videos and photos to share, and I also want to talk about the 2 weddings a little bit, and what a pleasure it was to work with 2 amazing brides and families!
I will start with the flowers we just finished yesterday for the Cayer-Foster wedding.
I had the pleasure of sitting down with the bride, Alexandra, her sister, Stephanie, and their mom, Judith to talk about wedding flowers. Stephanie & Alexandra came in prepared with some what of a plan for what colors they wanted, and what style of centerpieces they were looking for. Stephanie is also very talented, and probably could have done the job herself! She created the pom poms hanging from the tent with tangerine and lime green wax tissue paper I provided for her. She also created the guest table moss trays with cards too.
I love that they really had an accurate plan for what they wanted, but also gave me the flexibility to add our style and input to the mix. This is a great family, and I am glad they gave me the opportunity to create their wedding flowers!
Here are some photos of the bridal bouquets featuring escimo white, and sahara beige roses, with white hydrangeas, and crystal blush mini calla lilies in the bride's bouquet & mini green hydrangeas, versilia peach & sahara roses, with green hypericum berry and Italian ruscis greens in the bridesmaids bouquets.
Below are some photos of the flowers for Saint Denis Church Ceremony. I love that Alexandra decided to only use white and cream flowers in the church, to focus mainly on the colors used in her bridal bouquet, rather than bringing in the bridesmaid peaches, and green hydrangea colors too.
This way it makes the reception centerpieces look that much more interesting when the guests arrive at Appleford later!
For the church we created 2 large altar pieces, 2 beautiful candle rings flowing with white flowers and Italian ruscis & springrei foliages. We also provided white satin pew bows, and decorated the front railing outside of the church.
Last but not least, photos below of the beautiful table centerpieces created for Appleford!
There was 10 table centerpieces, 5 high, and 5 low.
For the 5 low tables, we used a clear cylinder vase lined with tai leaves. Flowers used were mini green hydrangea, mozart peach mini calla lily, green hypericum berry, orange unique rose, peach versilia rose, Italian ruscis, and variegated pitt foliages.
The 5 tall table centerpieces were created on site using curly willow branches, Italian ruscis foliage, mini green hydrangeas, and orange unique roses, with a few green hypericum berries added too. These tall glass pedestal vases are rented and are picked up at the end of the night or the following day depending on venue. These are one of my favorite centerpieces we have done in a while!
Here is 3 videos below, first one showing the making of the bouquets & low centerpieces. The second video shows the church flowers, and the third video shows the set up and finished centerpieces at Appleford in Villanova PA!
Thanks again to the amazing Cayer family and to Darby at Sage
Ok, I also want to talk about another great bride and groom I had the pleasure of working with on the day before, Paola & Xavier!
Paola is another favorite for me personally. We even chat on Facebook, where she gives me a lot of support on my Belvedere Flowers Business Page on Facebook. She is so sweet and always has nice things to say about us! Paola also had a good idea of what she was looking for and even brought Xavier along for the in store consultation. She was looking for something different than the traditional centerpiece and decided on submerging lavender roses inside clear glass cube vases with river rocks and curly willow branches. Her bridal bouquets also had a lavender/purple theme to them. Her Aunt was also very kind and decided to add ceremony arrangements and decorate the stairs at Appleford.
The bridal bouquets were created using ocean song lavender roses, picasso mini calla lilies, green hypericum berries, purple dendobium orchids, waxflower, thistle & escimo roses, white hydrangea for bride, along with lavender hidcote from the garden used in all bouquets!
Here are some photos of the bouquets below-
Below are some photos of ceremony & reception flowers for Appleford in Villanova PA on Friday May 28, 2010.
Congrats Paola & Xavier, Darby told me you guys had a perfect wedding and everyone had a blast!
Here is a behind the scenes shot of Sage Catering at Appleford in Villanova PA.
Ok time for the videos! We have 2 videos for this wedding, first one shows the making of bouquets, and second one shows delivery and set up at Appleford.

Here is another wedding we just delivered to the house in Springfield PA. We also delivered church flowers to St Dorothy's in Drexel Hill but did not get any pictures of the altar pieces this time, so we will just share some photos and video of the bridal bouquets featuring pink peonies, blue hydrangeas, "garnet glow" pink miniature calla lilies, "sophie" pink roses, white miniature calla lilies, "escimo" white roses, & pink lisianthus.
This is one of my favorite wedding bouquets we have created over the past few years! The bridesmaids wore lilac dresses, so the bride wanted to feature the flower lilac in all the bouquets. This is the first time we used lilac in a while and with it being a May wedding, we were able to pick up some really nice locally grown purple lilac to use in the bouquets. We also used locally grown lime green viburnum, "ocean song" lavender roses, variegated purple dendrobium orchid blooms, deep purple fragrant stock, creamy pink spray roses, lady stephanie waxflower, lime green roses, & hot pink miniature calla lilies in the bride's bouquet.
Belvedere Flowers created these beautiful bridal bouquets and church flowers for delivery to St. Dorothy's Church and the house of the bride in Drexel Hill PA on May 1, 2010.
It was an extremely hot day for this time of year but we always condition our flowers to handle the heat, and we also deliver all our bouquets in shallow water to keep them fresh and perky throughout the day, no matter what the temperature may be.
Here is pictures and a list of some of the flowers used in this wedding.
A few shots of the brides bouquet above with hot pink miniature calla lilies added to the mix of purple and lime green flowers to make the brides stand out a little bit from the other 9 bridesmaids in the bridal party.
