PHILOSOPHY

Unlike many growers providing commodity-driven products in mass quantities, Eufloria concentrates its special care and attention on over 80 different hybrid tea roses and 25 spray rose varieties which are individually cared for and cultivated for optimum quality and performance. Eufloria’s growing techniques focus on enhanced characteristics of brilliant coloring, full-bud opening, stem length, longevity, and fragrance. To ensure the finest collection of roses grown in North America, the Eufloria staff visits the top rose breeders of Europe each year (Holland in particular) and selects new varieties based on the ability to meet Eufloria’s meticulous growing practices

GROWING PRACTICES AND METHODS

Eufloria Flowers has a tremendous passion for growing flowers.  One of the main components of Eufloria’s success is using Hydroponics as their growing method. The utilization of this soil-less planting system gives the roses an advantage that cannot be found with field grown roses. Eufloria’s roses are grown in water and a specially treated coconut fiber derived for coconuts grown in Sri Lanka. The coconut fiber has an excellent resilient structure for growing roses which gives the young rose plants an explosive start providing exceptional oxygen and water holding capabilities contributing to Eufloria’s state-of-the-art technology with old world practices.

Eufloria roses are grown in an environment free of harsh pesticides, using instead only mild sprays and an Integrated Pest Management system, where predator bugs are released to control pests that damage the crop – a process so clean that Eufloria roses can safely be placed on a plate with food!

 Care and Handling

Eufloria’s consistent high quality is ensured through specialized care and handling of each rose. Every variety is cut at its specific stage to ensure optimum bloom and performance. The roses are then cradled in the arms of Eufloria’s conscientious employees and each stem is carefully staggered in a cascading fashion from shortest to longest. This ensures that the blooms are not damaged by the thorns. Immediately after being cut the roses are placed in a hydrating solution and then stored in a holding cooler at 36 degrees for 6-24 hours. This cooling down process allows for the stems to become fully hydrated which increases performance. Once the roses are cooled, Eufloria Flowers utilizes a 100% hand-grading system. Each stem is analyzed for proper coloring and any imperfections. This makes for a very consistent bunch of roses. Only the highest grade of Eufloria roses are shipped out of the nursery! Roses are then placed in Chrysal’s Professional #2 solution. Eufloria uses a distinct Inventory Control System consisting of a bar code and varietal name, customers can be assured of the freshness of the roses and that they receive the specific variety they have requested.

Roses are then pulled for each order and packed to the customer’s specifications. Within hours your order is on its way!
